Anadarko is a city located in Caddo County, Oklahoma, United States. It is situated in the central part of the state and has a population of around 6,600 people as of the 2020 census. Anadarko serves as the county seat of Caddo County.

It is named after the Creek Chief, A-d’Ar-kō, whose name was rendered into the Spanish language as Arqueño. Anadarko means “the place on the Arkansas river where the sun rises”. The city’s population grew during the 20th century and currently stands at about 6,600. In 2010, the city had a population of 5,500 people.
